                            Alien Invasion
                    A Mini-Scenario by Blackclove
                       Tutorial for Tech Trees

WARNING!

Please keep in mind that this is not a finished scenario and is not
meant to be a great scenario for playing. You can try it, though, and
it is playable - just not very exciting. I included a few events to show
some of what you can do with multiple tech trees and it goes well with
the design tips (#15 and #16) that are now available on SLeague
(http://civilization.gamestats.com/sleague).

Weird error warning - you will get an error when you recover the
crashed spaceship. Just click "Ignore" to ignore it and it should
cause no harm.

INTRODUCTION/PREMISE

The plot's pretty basic. Little grey space aliens have been visiting
Earth for centuries, preparing to enslave us. Unfortunately at this
distance from their homeworlds, the are horribly out of supply. It will
be quite some time before they can begin to replace any of their really
awesome equipment. Earth, on the other hand, is churning out dozens of
units every turn.

The humans have, for the most part, had their sattelites knocked out
of the sky so they will need to remap much of the world. Fortunately
you have a lot of air units in most civilizations (your best explorers
and weapons against the aliens - remember that air units vs. ground units
always turns the ground unit firepower to 1!).

You also need to reverse engineer the alien weaponry and turn it to
your own advantage.

COSTS OF IMPROVEMENTS

To encourage keeping your high-tech improvements, I made the costs to
maintain them usually be very low. The exceptions are:

Power Plants (4 GOLD) and Nuclear Plants (2 GOLD)
Military Bases (2-3 GOLD), Airports (1 GOLD), and Naval Bases (1 GOLD)
   Police Stations (1 GOLD)
   The Suburbs (1 GOLD)
   Reverse Engineering Laboratories (1 GOLD)

Power plants get cheaper as you get better ones, so Nuclear Plants are
cheaper to maintain and build than Power Plants, and Fusion Plants are
very cheap to build and maintain. With Nuclear Plants there is the risk
of meltdowns.

Military Bases get more expensive with the discovery of Mobile Warfare.

MISC INFO

 * All of the units, improvements and wonders are documented in the Pedia.

 * You are quite free to wipe out your neighbors if you need to in order
to stop the aliens' advance.

 * You will never, as the humans, be able to match the aliens' hardware.
